According to information from August 2024, PKP InterCity had 1,314 cars in operation. Of this number, approximately 1,090 cars are equipped with air conditioning, i.e. 83%. In 2025, 119 new cars are planned to be put into service. In addition, the company signed a contract for the modernization of 150 cars for the amount of PLN 1.5 billion. It is also worth adding that PKP InterCity plans to purchase up to 450 new carriages, which was confirmed in the signed contract.
