Railway line No. 210 Chojnice – Runowo Pomorskie.
Railway line No. 210 Chojnice – Runowo Pomorskie belongs to the former Ostbahn railway network; Prussian Eastern Railway. The line is an example of Prussian-Muscovite brotherhood. Its main purpose was to connect Berlin – Moscow. Most of the Ostbahn network was built with money from war reparations paid by France, as a result of the lost war in 1871. Therefore, sooner or later the Germans will pay the Republic of Poland compensation for the Second World War and the “Coalition of December 13” (folksdeutsche, communists and freemasons) will not prevent this. The line was built at a time when Poland was under partition.
The line was opened in stages. On November 1, 1877, the Chojnice – Człuchów section was launched. On January 16, 1878, the Człuchów – Czarne section was launched. On May 15, 1878, the Czarne – Czaplinek section was launched. On December 1, 1877, the Czaplinek – Runowo Pomorskie section was launched.
In 1945, the Soviets dismantled the second track on the entire route and took it to Moscow. The launch of the second track after World War II took place in the 50s of the 20th century. In 1953, Chojnice – Silnowo (PKP) In 1956, Silnowo – Runowo Pomorskie (PKP). The closure of the second track on the Czarne – Szczecinek section took place in 1992.
LK No. 210 is not electrified, because the line was not important for the Polish Economy, although it is listed as a line of national importance. The line runs through the Pomeranian and West Pomeranian Voivodeships, on the route; Chojnice – Szczecinek – Złocieniec – Drawsko Pomorskie – Runowo Pomorskie. The line is used for passenger and freight traffic.
Currently, Railway Line No. 210 Chojnice – Runowo Pomorskie lies entirely within Poland. The length of the line is 150.402 km. The track gauge is 1435 mm. Maximum speed is 120 km/h. The line was double-track along its entire length, but currently on the Czarne – Szczecinek section it is single-track. One track was dismantled by the Muscovites in 1945, along its entire length, and taken to Moscow. The track has been recreated.
On 14 October 2016, design work and tenders for the modernisation of LK No. 210 were launched. Work on the Szczecinek – Runowo Pomorskie section was the first to go. The initiative was taken by the authorities of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. On 28 November 2016, a tender was announced for the performance of design work and construction work on the Szczecinek – Runowo Pomorskie section. On 17 July 2017, PKP PLK signed an agreement with NDI for the implementation of this investment. Further agreements were concluded in the following years. As part of the work, new platforms were built at the Czaplinek station and at ten stops. Among others, in Suliszew Drawskie and Żelisław. 33 engineering structures were renovated.
The speed of passenger trains is 120 km/h on the sections; 114.347-130.037 km (Track 1), 61.947-86.618 km (Track 2), 87.713-97.598 km (Track 2). There were 28-34 passenger trains running on the Chojnice – Runowo Pomorskie route in August 2024. The minimum journey time was from 4 hours 01 minute to 4 hours 47 minutes, with one change. PolRegio trains ran on the route. The PolRegio train on the Chojnice – Szczecinek route covers this distance in 1 hour 04 minutes. Distance 61 km. The ticket costs PLN 22.70. The PolRegio train on the Szczecinek – Runowo Pomorskie route covers this distance in 1 hour 27 minutes. Distance 88 km. The ticket costs PLN 27.50.

Chojnice 0.000 km, elevation 174 m. The line crosses DK No. 22 at the top. The line crosses the single-track Chojnice – Piła Główna line at the top. The line crosses DW No. 212 at a rail-road crossing. Brzeźno Człuchowskie 7.125 km, passenger stop, elevation 168 m. A single-track trail from Przechlewo joins the line. The line crosses DK No. 25 (Juliusza Słowackiego Street) at a rail-road junction. Człuchów 14.746 km, elevation 171 m. The line crosses DW No. 188 (Plantowa Street) at a rail-road junction. The line runs through forests. The line crosses DK No. 22 at a rail-road intersection. Biskupnica 25.930 km, elevation 162 m, passenger stop. Bińcze 31.490 km, elevation 152 m, station. Szczecinek 61.184 km, elevation 142 m, large junction station, 5-way. There are again two LK 210 tracks. A viaduct runs above the station along Pilska Street. The line passes over DK No. 20. Jelenino 67.743 km, elevation 153 m, passenger stop. Silnowo 77.755 km, elevation 158 m, passenger stop. In parallel, on the south side, DK No. 20 runs.
